Workstation Requirements​

To run Isaac Sim and train VLA models, you need a powerful workstation.

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080 or higher (RTX 4090 recommended).
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 or Intel Core i9.
  • RAM: 64GB+.
  • Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD.

Humanoid Robot Platforms​

1. Unitree H1​

  • Cost: ~$90k
  • Actuators: High-torque joint motors.
  • Sensors: 3D LiDAR, Depth Camera.

2. Custom Builds (Open Source)​

  • Projects like Open Dynamic Robot Initiative.
  • Lower cost but requires significant assembly and tuning.

Onboard Compute​

The robot itself needs a brain.

  • NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin: The standard for edge AI in robotics. Delivers up to 275 TOPS.

Networking​

Ensure a robust Wi-Fi 6 router or 5G connection for low-latency telemetry.
